Expect him to be good to go for Week 5 against the Steelers.

Johnson was in sweatpants and appeared "stiff-legged" on the sideline. His chances of facing Green Bay in Week 6 aren't looking good. Should Calvin be inactive, Dennis Northcutt and Bryant Johnson would be the Lions' starters.

Calvin Johnson - WR - Lions Calvin Johnson listed with 'thigh' injury
Johnson injured his knee in the team's Week 5 loss, so it's uncertain why he isn't on the injury report with that ailment. He was also on last week's report with a "thigh" problem. Either way, he's very questionable for Sunday. October 14

Man I want Megatron to play this week for my Fantasy team. But at the same time I think it is best if he takes the week off and then has the bye as well and comes back 100% week 8

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Calvin Johnson (knee, thigh) and Matthew Stafford (knee) both missed Thursday's practice.
Both look doubtful to play at Green Bay. Johnson watched practice in a warmup suit and Stafford wasn't even there. Expect Daunte Culpepper to be under center with Dennis Northcutt and Bryant Johnson as his main receivers Sunday. The Week 7 bye is coming at a good time for the Lions, although Calvin and Stafford's absences cripple any shot Detroit had of picking up its second win this week.

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>The Detroit Free Press confirms that Calvin Johnson (knee, thigh) is unlikely to play in Week 6. Johnson is listed as questionable on the injury report.
Johnson missed his third straight practice Friday and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Dennis Northcutt at Green Bay. The Lions will struggle to move the football with Daunte Culpepper at quarterback, and Northcutt and Bryant Johnson out wide. Expect a run-first game plan from OC Scott Linehan.

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Calvin Johnson (knee) was spotted on the Lions practice field Friday still walking with an "obvious" limp.
Johnson missed the workout, only throwing footballs into a trash can from 20 yards away off to the side. His status for Week 8 appears very questionable. Calvin already missed Week 6 with what is probably a sprained knee.

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Though Matthew Stafford (knee) was in uniform and practicing Tuesday, Calvin Johnson (knee) continues to sit out.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that the Lions would take a conservative approach with Stafford's return, so his return to the field is a positive sign. Stafford took snaps with the No. 1 offense offense during individual drills. The Lions won't make a determination his status for Sunday's game until they see if he has swelling in his knee on Wednesday.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Megatron's status for Sunday's game against the Rams is unknown, but it's obviously a bad sign that he hasn't practiced Tuesday or Wednesday. Yesterday, Johnson said he was optimistic but wanted to see what he could do today. The answer is nothing. Consider him a game-time decision for now while we wait to see if he can practice Thursday or Friday.

Johnson, who had sat out the past two days of practice, went through some drills during the media access portion of practice Thursday, Mlive.com reports.

Spin: If Johnson, who didn't appear hobbled Thursday, doesn't experience additional swelling or any sort of setback by Friday, it appears as though he'll have a shot to play Sunday.

Calvin Johnson - WR - Lions Calvin Johnson was officially "limited" in Thursday's practice.
As long as he takes to the field again on Friday, Johnson is line to start against the Rams with Matthew Stafford as his likely quarterback. While he's obviously not 100 percent, Johnson should be started in fantasy leagues against the Rams' poor pass defense. October 29

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Calvin Johnson appears to be a full-blown game-time decision for this week's game against the Rams after he struggled in Friday's limited work.
According to beat writer Tom Kowalski, "it doesn't look promising" for Johnson. While Matthew Stafford completed a full week of practice taking all of the No. 1 snaps, Johnson appeared to do less Friday than he did the day before. The Lions won't be forthcoming with their plans for this week, so expect both players to be labeled as "game-time decisions."

Calvin Johnson - WR - Lions Calvin Johnson (knee) is expected to start against the Rams on Sunday afternoon.
Johnson was limited throughout the week in practice, along with QB Matthew Stafford. Megatron is a must-start against the 25th ranked Rams' pass defense, and it also looks like Stafford will play. Both players' statuses had been up in the air all week. November 1

It was reported earlier that Megatron might start, but it turns out he will not play. The Rams get a huge break, as they will try to snap their 17-game skid. Derrick Williams and John Standeford should see more snaps.

Calvin Johnson - WR - Lions Lions coach Jim Schwartz predictably shed little light on the status of Calvin Johnson (knee) for Week 9 at his Monday presser.
Johnson has missed the last 11 quarters with the injury. Schwartz only said that he "isn't sure" if Calvin will be able to return against the Seahwks. November 2

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Calvin Johnson (knee) was officially limited in Thursday's practice, and coach Jim Schwartz is calling him a "game-time decision."
Schwartz calls just about every injured player a game-time decision. Johnson was slightly more optimistic: "I'm practicing this week, but I'm not going to step out there and say that I'm going to play. But I feel real good. I have a good shot at getting on the field." The local media expects him to play as well, but check back Friday afternoon for his official status.
